(Real Vehicle Description) The JNR OhA 35 series passenger cars were a group of 20m-class steel passenger cars manufactured by the Ministry of Railways, the predecessor of Japanese National Railways. The term "OhA 35 series" is not an official series designation established by JNR, but a convenient term for collectively referring to the official steel passenger cars with a similar body structure to the Suha 33650 type (later OhA 35 type), which began production in 1939 (Showa 14). As an improved version of the Suha 32 series passenger cars, various types were manufactured from the late 1930s. The basic type, the third-class seating car (OhA 35 type), was first manufactured in 1939 (Showa 14), but there were types with similar structures that continued to be manufactured for a long time after the mass production of the OhA 35 type, with the specifications of the Suha 32 series. Due to the gradual improvement of the design and manufacturing technology, unlike the 20 series of later years, the "series" was not clearly distinguishable, and the boundary between the Suha 32 series and this series was not clear.
