This is Oshima Tsumugi from a kimono shop, described as "Oshima Yellow Eight." It's woven with a crisp texture like Kihachijo, allowing for a clean and elegant kimono appearance. It's a cute and stylish tsumugi with a modern, pale pink base and Hachijo格子 (yellow and black check) pattern. It pairs well with both modern and antique obi. This is a great feature of checkered and striped kimonos. Recommended for both Japanese and Western-style coordination. The lining (hakkake) is a muted salmon pink. The color is more subdued than in the photos. It appears to be unused, with the basting stitches still intact and no marks from the koshihimo (waist string). There is a small stain from a hook on the lining (doura).
