You can easily make delicious rice by putting rice and water in the pot and heating it in the microwave. The amount of rice and water is basically the same as when cooking in a rice cooker. It differs slightly depending on whether or not you soak the rice in water beforehand. We recommend soaking for 20 minutes or more. For one cup of rice, use 180ml of water and heat for 10-12 minutes. For two cups of rice, use 360ml of water and heat for 20 minutes, using 500W. Also, this pot can be used as a rice container if you don't eat the cooked rice immediately. This product is made from Iga's rough clay, which is focused on traditional flavors. We will apply a water-sealing treatment before shipping, so you can use it directly over an open flame. Avoid dry firing. The products we send to customers do not require water-sealing treatment, but they have some water absorption, so you can say that the pot itself is breathing and alive. This is what creates the flavor as you use it. Cracks (kannyu) will appear as you use it, but this is not damage (a defective product).
