Tuned Thai Gong Extra High Octave c" 中古 (Used) This is the lowest c in the extra high octave (the highest c in the high octave). Purchased new from a percussion instrument specialty store in Tokyo. It is a used item, but I believe it is in a condition that has not changed much since it was purchased new. I have played it with felt-wrapped, yarn-wrapped, and cotton-thread-wrapped mallets. I have not used hard mallets made of metal or plastic. For reference, I have included images of the tuning measurements. As a characteristic of the instrument, it contains many different overtones, and the pitch is not as precise as that of a keyboard instrument. Audibly, it sounds close to the intended pitch.
