The pattern is auspicious motifs, and the reverse side features a checkered pattern familiar from costumes in kabuki's aragoto (rough style) and kyogen (comic theater). By the way, this type of ribbon is called a katsura-obi in Noh theater costumes and is used to tie up the hair of female roles. It may seem plain at first glance, but it has a strong impact, so I couldn't quite master it. However, it might have a synergistic effect when paired with a kimono of unique colors and patterns.
