Limited stock, first come, first served! This is a baseball hall of fame-class document. It's an original Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper from April 28, 1947 (Showa 22). Due to paper shortages immediately after the war, it's only two pages. The baseball articles feature Tetsuji Kawakami's home run from the professional baseball league's first season, Babe Ruth Day, and Victor Starffin, among other legends. Also included are the formation of the Ashida Cabinet, MacArthur's GHQ regulations on communism, and the Tokyo Racecourse, making this a valuable historical document from immediately after the war. The newspaper is 80 years old, so there is some yellowing, staining, and minor tearing, including a small piece missing from the upper right corner of the first page, but the articles are still readable.
