About Noritake China: In 1904, the Morimura Gumi developed "white hard porcelain." Morimura Brothers aimed to export goods and opened a store in New York, selling Japanese miscellaneous goods. At that time, Seto ware was bluish-gray, which was different from the general American preference. To be widely accepted by Americans, they had to create white and strong porcelain that Americans would like. In 1933, "bone china" was developed for the first time in Japan by Noritake. Until the emergence of casual lines like stoneware in the 1960s and 70s, Noritake China, bone china, and later fine china were the mainstream materials for Western tableware. The design is chic, with black and cream colors and raised gold accents.
