This is a commemorative metal from the 1987 privatization of Japanese National Railways (JNR). The metal is made of copper and is 6.0 cm in diameter, housed in a plastic case. Designed by Taro Okamoto, it features a dynamic human figure and the Shinkansen (bullet train). The surface and back are inscribed with the powerful word "Departure" (出発), which is very encouraging. I am selling this as part of my end-of-life preparations. Today, I have discounted it by a small amount: 500 yen.
