Approximately 2 cm in height, 8.2 cm in diameter. Made by Mitsuiri Suzuki, a master craftsman of Kyoto. This is an incense container featuring autumn insects, modeled after Zongxing ware. Zongxing ware is a type of Tang-era lacquerware brought from China, a form of carved and colored lacquerware. It is highly valued as a very rare item. The accompanying box is a carefully crafted inro box, and is in beautiful condition.
