This item was found during the demolition of my family's storehouse, which was completely destroyed by the Noto Peninsula earthquake. It is a Wajima-nuri (lacquerware) sweet dish that my parents received as a gift and kept carefully stored in its original wooden box for many years. The contrast between the glossy red lacquer surface and the black lacquered underside is beautiful, making it perfect for serving Japanese sweets or fruit. Although it is unused, there may be some minor scratches due to long-term storage. Please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for a perfect item. The original wooden box and inner bag show signs of aging. Given the circumstances of the earthquake, I hope to pass this on to someone who will cherish it.
