The poster flat brush has something that looks like rust on the bristles (inside the bag). I use the same brush after washing it, and it works without any particular problems. The last photo shows the brush in use. The brown round-handled brush (high-grade brush, size 16) has a dark color on the handle. I think it's probably the color of the wood itself. Some brushes have paper labels that are slightly peeling. Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned. All 12 brushes are unused. One large flat brush marked "中" (medium) feels more like a "brush" than a flat brush, but I don't know the details. I use the same one, and it holds water well and is very useful.
