This is a Koshu-ori folding umbrella. It's a deep red color with a checked interior, and the hardware is gold (the handle is copper-colored), giving it a luxurious design. The silhouette when opened is a beautiful, round form that you wouldn't expect from a folding umbrella. It's an older item, and there are some scratches on the wooden parts, but otherwise, it's in very good condition.
