This year marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Pierre Boulez (1925/3/26-2016/1/15). Boulez, who studied composition with Messiaen, was a cutting-edge avant-garde composer. However, his conducting career took off in the 1960s when his performance of "The Rite of Spring" with the Orchestre National de France for Concert Hall Society won the Disc Grand Prix. This recording of "Water Music" was also recorded for Concert Hall Society. This is a beautiful CD with an obi (sleeve). Please refer to photo 2 for the tracklist and orchestra information.
