This is genuine silk, Nishiki-sha (a type of silk crepe). It features a soft purple base with a floral pattern in the weave. The design consists of small chrysanthemums and plum blossoms, rendered in a resist-dye technique. The flowers are colored white, light brown, and pale burnt umber, with the shadowed areas in a bluish-purple gray. The charming pattern is complemented by calming, gentle colors. The long sleeve length is also characteristic of antique kimono, making it quite lovely. It is an awase (lined) kimono, but the fabric is quite thin, making it suitable for warmer weather and the transitional seasons. The hakake (lining of the skirt) is a deep crimson. 〈Condition〉 It has a bat-eri (a type of collar).
