Thank you for viewing. Please feel free to comment if you have any questions. Product Description Overall approximately 3.5 x 2.8 x 2.6 cm The roots of micro-sculpture boasting a 440-year tradition. Micro-sculpture refers to tiny Buddhist statues, about the size of a grain of rice, housed within a zushi (miniature shrine) made from husks, sesame seeds, or walnut shells. It is said to have begun in 1578 (Tensho 6), when the chief priest of Enzoji Temple, the birthplace of Akabeko (red cow toy), picked up a Kokuuzo Bosatsu (Akasagarbha Bodhisattva) enshrined within a shell and brought it back to Yanaizu. Currently, the only successor is Mr. Tomiyama Kanasaka, the son of Fusen Kanasaka. As you can see, this is a Seven Lucky Gods sculpture inside a 440-year-old Aizu Yanaizu micro-sculpture walnut. Since the current successor is only Mr. Tomiyama Kanasaka, the son of Fusen Kanasaka, such works are becoming increasingly valuable. The condition is good; please check the photos for details. ☆ For those purchasing multiple items We will combine shipping, so please comment beforehand. ☆ Immediate purchase is also welcome. #Antique #FineArt #Antiques #Interior #Crafts #OldTools #Ornament #Vintage #Ceramics #China #Teapot #TeaSet #Stationery #TeaUtensils #RiriMuseum
