▪️ This is an auction for only the final volume (Volume 12) of "Seijiro Kojima Complete Works, 12 Volumes." ◎ Seijiro Kojima (January 31, 1894 – March 24, 1994) was a Japanese novelist, essayist, and haiku poet. His haiku pseudonym was Enshirou. ◎ After attending Kyoka Junior High School, he studied at the Faculty of Literature at Keio University. While there, he was taught by Shikokichi Sawaki, the editor-in-chief of "Mita Bungaku" and a Western art historian. He began publishing his works in "Mita Bungaku." In 1916, his critique of senior writers' writing, "Orthography," was recognized by Mori Ogai, and his name became known among those associated with Keio University from his student days. In 1922, he was recognized in the literary world for his short story "Ichimai Kanban," which was based on the storyteller Hakuryu Kanda V, with whom he was close. He gained popularity with "Midori no Kishi" in 1927. He subsequently wrote many popular novels, including "Hanasaku Ki," "Hitotsuma Tsubaki," and "Niizuma Kagami," which were also made into films and gained popularity, making him a sensation from before the war to after the war. In 1934, he became a selection committee member for the Naoki Prize and the Akutagawa Prize.
