This is a very elaborate, four-sided (square) katakuchi (one-sided pouring vessel) made of E-Shino ware (Mino ware), featuring figures wearing hats and kimonos as handles. Length: Approximately 16.1 cm, Width: Approximately 16.7 cm (excluding spout and handle), Height: Approximately 5.9 cm There is no accompanying box, and the work itself does not have a potter's mark or inscription. Therefore, it has not been possible to identify the kiln or artist, but it is likely from the Meiji to early Showa period. While it functions perfectly as a katakuchi, considering its weight and size, it is likely to be used primarily as a "katakuchi-shaped" square plate or serving bowl. It appears to have been hardly used, with no chips or cracks. However, there is one spot where the glaze has peeled off on the edge of the bottom (please see the last image). Type... Pottery Type...
