The production date is "Early Winter, Heisei 14" (2002). While peacock-figured Satsuma boxwood is common, Mikura-jima boxwood with peacock figuring is considered the highest quality for the wood itself. The set includes a paulownia flat box with an inner lid and a piece bag. There are two extra pawns.
