There is a slight scratching sound, but it may be resolved to some extent with oil maintenance, etc. The most noticeable damage is a scratch on the spool edge, which has been repaired with sandpaper. After the repair, I have confirmed that there are no snags with my fingernail, and the casting feel afterwards seems to be fine. Please check the images for the scratches. The handle knob has been replaced with a Libere brand one. Please note that the original parts are not included.
