Purchased at a government auction. The build, materials, and sound quality are quite good, and I think it has high potential. I've played a lot of guitars, and the sound on this one is excellent. It has a fantastic, ringing tone. Even when distorted, the notes separate well, making it a great guitar. The strap pins are locking pins. I can replace them if you wish. It's unclear how much of it is genuine Fender. Many Fender parts are present. There is a logo on the headstock. A decal of Yngwie Malmsteen's signature was affixed to the back of the headstock from the time of purchase. It has been lightly scalloped, likely aiming for an Yngwie model. The signature on the back of the neck also matches Yngwie's signature. The scalloping isn't very deep, so it doesn't feel awkward to play. The body is likely alder based on the wood grain, but I'm not sure. It's a slab board. The neck is quarter-sawn. The finish is somewhat imperfect. The bridge is Wilkinson.
