I handcrafted a tote bag by combining a half-width obi (sash) with black wool fabric. It's very lightweight and has a warm feel, making it perfect for the upcoming cold season. The embroidered octagons, diamonds, and floral patterns of the half-width obi blend well with the black fabric on both sides, resulting in a bag with a calm, mature atmosphere. A stiff interfacing is used for the outer fabric. The inside is made of white Yuki-tsumugi fabric (a type of silk).
