Separate from this model, the K&T KTR 1959 The Beano model was also sold as a limited edition of six. The model names "The Truth" and "The Beano" are inspired by the Les Pauls used by Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton, respectively. This guitar is the The Truth model, which recreates Jeff Beck's Les Paul, featuring a zebra bobbin in the front pickup and a double black bobbin in the rear pickup, matching the look. It also uses K&T pickups, a high-end replacement pickup brand. Based on data and experience from Mr. Takano, who has analyzed numerous vintage pickups, the 1959 PAF is reproduced. Hand-wound, it features a clear and wide-range sound. The output is not high, and the tone is easy to control according to the nuances of your picking. The body is a luxurious specification, consisting of a selected hard maple top, mahogany back, mahogany neck, and Honduras rosewood fingerboard. The main differences from the The Beano model, which was sold at the same time, are the front pickup bobbin color and the tuners. According to Mr. Takano of K&T, the sound differs depending on the bobbin color, even with the same PAF pickups... It's romantic at this point. The tuners use KEY'STONE GSS-STD with brass posts, which were a hot topic at the time this guitar was sold. These are meticulously crafted tuners made by the Gotoh brand.
