This is a 42mm E39 size lens filter for Leica. The one with the "E.Leitz N.Y. A" engraving is relatively rare. It has a faint pink tint, but I couldn't figure out what it is. It's not a color that significantly affects the image, so I think it's either a protective filter or a UV cut filter. If you know more, please let me know...
