This is a model of Blarney Castle, a famous medieval fortress in Ireland. The Blarney Stone, said to bestow the gift of eloquence to those who kiss it, is located within the battlements. This series is a meticulously hand-painted resin cast model, creating a detailed and atmospheric piece. It's quite heavy due to its solid construction. The dimensions are approximately 30cm at the longest point when viewed from above, and about 20cm in height. The scale is roughly 1/150, similar to N-gauge model trains. I purchased this used from a typical American household, thinking I might build a layout with rails around it, but I never got around to it, and it's been sitting in its box unused. When I bought it, the top section of the round tower in the courtyard was already missing. There are some small white specks, which may just be bits of styrofoam packing material. I could try to remove them with a needle, but I don't want to risk damaging it, so I'll leave them as is. The original box it came in from America is in poor condition and dirty.
