I made a bait box for smelt fishing. I haven't painted it to enjoy the material. It's a set of an outer box, an inner box, a dish, and a metal ruler. The dish has a 6:4 ratio. Materials: Hinoki cypress Mesh: Stainless steel Dimensions: Width 150mm, Depth 85mm, Height 40mm Weight: 135g The sawdust from the waxworms is designed to fall to the bottom, but when the temperature is warm and the waxworms are active, they try to escape through the mesh, as shown in the last photo (which is my bait box). The waxworms get stuck in the mesh, making them difficult to remove, which was a bit stressful. So, I made an additional dish. Also, I included a metal ruler as an accessory. This is surprisingly useful. Of course, you can measure the size of the smelt, but you can also use it as a lid stopper or as a scraper to clean the bait box after use, as shown in the photo.
