This is an obi with a black chrysanthemum pattern on a black background, which has been stored in a paulownia chest since before the Showa era. The exact era is unknown, but the original owner was born in the Meiji era, so it may be even older. Total length: approximately 332 cm; width: 30.4 cm. The length to the folded section (side fold) is approximately 92 cm, measured from the "tare-saki" (the end of the obi that hangs down). Weight: approximately 500 grams, measured with an analog scale. As this is a very old item, there are some scratches and stains.
