Antique wooden kneading bowl. Acquired from a collector. I'm told it's from the Meiji era. The wood type is unknown, but it uses dense, heavy wood. The wood grain on the inside, revealed by aging, is also very beautiful, and the two metal repair marks, which appear to be made of tin, create a tasteful scene. The color of the wood is also rich and deep, giving it a certain dignity. Originally, these were tools that were heavily used, so many kneading bowls have become light and withered, but this one has no insect damage or significant deterioration and is in a condition that can be used comfortably. It's an item that looks great just by throwing in seasonal flowers or fruits. Although there are scratches, small dents, and wood-related chips that are typical of the era, they do not detract from its use or appreciation.
