This is a single-layered kimono. I believe the material is synthetic fiber, but it has a complex weave and looks like a good fabric. I wore it twice and washed it at home. I don't see any noticeable stains or damage. Since it's an opaque material, I think you can wear it in all seasons except for the height of summer.
