This is a set of 4 brand new, unused MONTREUX Custom CTS B500K Split 565 pots. Stored in a smoke-free environment. By mixing a special silver material with the carbon of the resistor, we have eliminated the "sound leakage" at volume 0, which was the biggest issue with past CTS pots. This sound leakage occurs because of the large residual resistance inside the pot, but the "CUSTOM CTS POT" suppresses the residual resistance to less than 4Ω, which was typically around 20Ω. The shaft uses solid brass, which has been confirmed to improve sound quality, and the bottom part incorporates the "flat back style" seen on 50's Gibson guitars. The torque has also been set to a moderate weight by changing the internal grease.
