80s ~ Vintage Original Levi's 501 Red Ear Denim Pants MADE IN USA W30 L30 From the 1980s ~ Made in USA Manufactured April 1982 Beautiful faded blue color, without any unpleasant yellowing or browning. This is an exceptional pair, showing signs of careful washing and wear. This era's characteristic fine vertical fading is beautiful, with a natural and pleasing color. The selvedge edge has a prominent texture, running almost the entire length of the side seams. This is a rare find, as the selvedge often doesn't open up this much on pieces from this era. Considering it's from the Red Ear period and has aged over 40 years, it's in excellent condition, at a near-mint level. The denim fabric is still strong, with plenty of firmness and body. Almost no damage or repairs on this excellent piece. Near the left hem: A tiny, 5x5mm repair at the selvedge edge, barely noticeable when worn. Around the buttonholes, no noticeable damage, and they are still in good condition and will last a long time. No other noticeable stains or serious damage. Overall, it has a well-balanced and beautiful indigo blue fade. The paint splatter is just right. Rare L30 size, which is hard to find in this era.
