This is a multi-effects unit that combines high-quality spatial effects from TC Electronic. Features include: * Stereo loop for connecting external effects * Expression pedal input for volume control * MIDI connectivity You can perform live shows with this unit and your favorite distortion or preamp. Of course, you can also use it with an amp simulator for line-level use, or in an amp's send/return loop. I've even used it with an acoustic guitar. Although a booster isn't listed in the effects, a clean boost can be set up using a hidden trick. With 127 memory slots and the ability to configure 5 blocks, you can save various settings for electric guitar, acoustic guitar, compact pedals, amps, and simulators. The display looks bumpy in the photos, but that's just the protective film that was on it when I bought it. It seems to be discontinued, and the original price has nearly doubled.
