This beautiful paper was purchased long ago at a specialty shop in Florence that deals exclusively in paper goods. It features a floral arabesque design with a red bird of paradise in flight. Among several designs on display, the gold foil was particularly beautiful, and I picked it up without hesitation. I carefully wrapped it up, thinking "for a travel memory." The box I listed the other day is one of the "Classica Italiana" series designs (photo 10), but this one has a red bird of paradise drawn on top of it. This design seems to be unimported to Japan. The gold foil shines depending on the angle, and I feel the light-filled Italian sense. It uses the highest quality paper with a high cotton content. Especially in this series, it seems that it is finished more vividly than others due to special printing and production processes. I looked it up for this listing, and Rossi was founded in 1931 by Mr. Antonio Rossi, an Italian paper product manufacturer. It seems that sets of envelopes and stationery with the same pattern can be purchased in Japan.
