It is polished to the level of a paint base, so you can apply surface treatments such as varnish or wax without any further preparation. * The back surface has been sanded to flatten it, but sanding marks remain. * The sides (circumference) have been fully sanded (with electric sandpaper). * Naturally dried, it contains a lot of oil, so you can enjoy the pleasant scent of Hinoki cypress for a long time. * Oil may seep to the surface, but this can be prevented by surface treatments such as varnish. * It has been naturally dried for over six months after being sliced from the log, but depending on the conditions of use and storage, cracking may progress. ＜About Cracking＞ Cracking occurs naturally due to the shrinkage of the wood as it dries, and cracking may progress as drying continues. New cracks may appear in areas that currently have no cracks. However, cracks that have already reached near the center are unlikely to progress further.
