I purchased this new and read it once with a cover on. It has been stored at home, so unlike rental copies or those from internet cafes, it hasn't been handled by a large number of people, so I believe it's safe. There isn't much yellowing, and it appears to be in relatively good condition, but please refrain from purchasing if you are overly concerned about condition.
