It has been worn out twice, and each time for a short period. The obi was photographed to confirm the color of the kimono. It was tailored 10 years ago at a kimono shop, with domestic hand-stitching, and both the lining and the under-lining are pure silk. My grandmother purchased a bolt of pure silk fabric with "Ki-hachijo" woven into it at a local kimono shop 23 years ago. I believe the fabric was made about 30 years ago. Although it is a replica of authentic Ki-hachijo, it is made of high-quality silk that slides smoothly and makes a crisp sound when stroked. The teacher at my kimono class praised it. She mentioned that the quality of silk from that era is different from that of today.
