This is a combined holder for a Hamaya (sacred arrow) and Ofuda (personal amulet), made of solid Japanese cypress by a traditional artisan. Width: 27cm, Height: Approximately 26cm (low side), Approximately 30cm (high side), Depth: 7.7cm. When you receive a Hamaya or Ofuda at a shrine, it's easy to not display them and they can get lost. Displaying them in your entryway or alcove at home is believed to bring blessings. It's perfect for various milestones such as family safety, baby showers, Shichi-Go-San (celebration for children), housewarmings, and exorcism. It's a good idea to receive a new Hamaya each year at the beginning of the year, and display it with the hope for a year of good health, family safety, and good fortune. I made this so you can display your Ofuda alongside your Hamaya, as you often receive them together. You can also place your Goshuin (temple stamp) in the Ofuda holder.
