This is a set of a suzuri (inkstone) and a bunchin (paperweight). The inkstone and the gold-colored iron bunchin have bat carvings on both ends and engravings in the middle. Both items are from my father's collection, who was a calligrapher. I don't know the details, but I believe the inkstone is from China. I would appreciate it if you could judge from the images.
