This is a sanshin that I have been using casually for practice. I don't know when it was made. The front side of the snakeskin appears to be reinforced with a double layer. When touched with a finger from the inside, both the front and back sides feel like fabric. The back side is a single layer of snakeskin. (Please check the photos of the inside) It's an old sanshin. A "四四工" (shishiko) sticker is affixed to the neck. One karakui (tuning peg) is newly replaced. The middle and female strings were replaced with new ones three weeks ago. I was using it for practice until yesterday. There is some wear and tear on the snakeskin due to aging. There are small areas where the snakeskin on the front side is chipped. I'm not sure what the neck material is. However, the finish is solid, and it is still usable. The neck has a slight twist towards the male string, but I don't think it's noticeable when playing. (This is my personal opinion) I was playing it like this until yesterday. I think there are fine scratches on the neck from use. I don't think there are any cracks or major chips. There are no repaired parts. (Please check the photos) One of the three karakui included is slightly difficult to secure, but it can be used if you secure it properly. If it's difficult to secure, please shave it down a little. It should work well if you apply rosin. If you still find it difficult to secure, please replace it with a new one. Accessories: Black cloth case (It's a cloth case) It's the cloth item at the bottom of the photo. It's in good condition without any sun damage. Other accessories: bachi (plectrum) and uma (bridge) are included. The doumaki (body wrapping) and doumaki string, and the cloth case have been washed. The doumaki and cloth case are in good condition. The doumaki string has some sun damage. To reduce shipping costs, I will ship it as a single item. Please assemble it yourself.
