Thank you for viewing. This is a uniquely shaped, square Imari ware plate with a "chidori" (plover) stamp, purchased at an antique market about 10 years ago. These are quite rare to find these days. The chidori stamp is adorable. The plate doesn't sit perfectly flat, suggesting it was made in the early Meiji era. It might be a bit cramped for a round cake, but it's perfect for a smaller, square cake like an opera cake. There are no major chips or scratches. Please examine the images carefully.
