This item is made by Komemura Bijutsu Orimono, which was founded by Heizo Komemura I, widely known as a leading restorer of ancient textiles. This is a Kimekomi Shamisen, a traditional craft of Kimekomi Ningyo. I like the atmosphere of this piece, as if I can hear the sound of the shamisen, and I used to display it as a pair with another item I have for sale. It was displayed in a glass-doored chest in a room that does not get direct sunlight. Overall, it is a beautiful item, but it is a used item and has been stored at home.
