The New Canonet Grade III series, a best-selling camera with a total production of 1.2 million units, was manufactured in Japan and Taiwan from 1972 to the 1980s. "Camera Condition" There are scratches and wear from use by a "railway photography enthusiast," but this does not affect any functions. The original leatherette has been replaced with aftermarket genuine leather. The viewfinder, which is prone to clouding in this model, has been cleaned and the rangefinder has been recalibrated. The automatic parallax correction is working correctly. There are some scratches, dust, and traces of mold on the lens, but this does not affect actual photography. The exposure meter is also working, allowing for automatic shooting. X-sync has been confirmed. The self-timer also works without any problems. This model is the lower-end GIII series with a 45mm f/1.9 lens, but the unpretentious lens design provides excellent image quality as shown in the sample photos. The QL19G-III, which can be used without batteries, is, in my opinion, a full manual camera suitable for film camera beginners. "Important Notes" ・Due to the use of a substitute battery (LR44 1.5V) and an adapter, the actual voltage is 0.15V higher, so please set the ISO sensitivity one stop higher. For those who want accurate exposure settings, I recommend using a separate exposure meter and shooting in manual mode. ・It is not necessary to worry too much about this when shooting with negative film. You can take beautiful photos with automatic shooting. ・This is a Quick Loading (QL) camera. Align the film leader with the red mark and load the film. Advance the film to counter 1 to complete winding. ・Please open and close the back cover carefully with both hands until the light seals settle in. "Sample Photos" Kodak ColorPlus200 used (ISO100 + 1 stop, automatic shooting) C57180 pulling the Banetsu freight train and autumn scenery along the railway line. The photos were taken with permission at the farm where I am assisted during shooting, at the workshop after the buckwheat harvest.
