This is a Tanebasami, a traditional craft of Kagoshima Prefecture. It is a purely hand-forged iron scissor, 8 sun (approximately 18cm) in total length, and comes in a wooden box as shown in photo 2. Also, as shown in photos 4 and 6, the scissor body is stamped with "Hon Tane" and "Nami". This is an unused item that has been stored in its box, but there are some stains due to aging as shown in photos 5 and 7. However, I tested it by cutting paper, and the sharpness was excellent.
