This is a nest for large ants such as the Kiba-hari-ari (Japanese giant ant). It's a stand-up type, making observation easy. The colors may differ slightly in some photos, but the main body is cream, and the stand and tank are black. We designed this from scratch to allow for easy, yet本格的に (本格的に - "full-fledged" or "serious") ant observation and breeding. - The removable tank at the back of the nest makes humidification and watering easy. - There are connection holes on the left and right sides, allowing you to connect nests and feeding areas, and expand the nest as needed. - The connection holes are screw-type, so they won't come off easily, allowing for safe breeding and movement. - The front lid is secured with screws at the four corners, so there's no worry of it coming off. - It comes with a stable stand, allowing you to view it from the side, at ant-level. - The design inside the nest has gentle curves for a more natural feel. - Suitable for small to large ants. Suitable for small to large ants found anywhere in Japan, as well as most of the overseas ants we handle. Even ants that can't climb glass surfaces, such as green head ants, are fine due to the gentle slope. Easy to observe and breed, making it ideal for children's science projects. For humidification, use the removable tank at the back of the nest, and use your preferred material such as cotton, sponge, or perlite in the tank. Cotton will be included when shipped.
