In unexpected places, such as the corners of fields or the peaks of mountains, one sometimes finds small, humble shrines (hokora) that seem to have been forgotten by people. They are usually crude structures made of stone, wood, or straw... Through this kind of folk belief, we can explore the origins of Japanese thought... ☆ This book is over 40 years old, so there is some minor soiling and yellowing, but the binding is firm and it is in good condition. There are a few areas with wrinkles (see photo 9), but there are no writings, folds, stains, or special dirt, and it is in very good condition for a used book.
