Thank you for viewing! These are handmade cloth zori (Japanese sandals). Unlike shoes, outdoor zori and geta (Japanese wooden clogs) are not worn with a size that is a perfect fit for the foot. Instead, a slightly smaller size is often worn, and cloth zori are similar in that they can be worn comfortably even if they are a bit small. These were made by a family member as a hobby. Made with cotton and yukata fabric. The core uses non-woven fabric firmly connected into a rope shape, rather than the typical rope. This makes the sandals feel softer and more comfortable compared to rope. The knot of the front thong (the part that goes between the toes) can be loosened from the back. The end of the knot is passed through the braid. If the thong is too long, you can adjust it to some extent by pulling and tightening the base (where it is sewn with a few stitches) little by little. It seems that the thong adjustment allows these to be used by children and adults alike. I myself wear a 18cm pair as slippers in the summer, and my shoe size is 23-23.5cm. I wear them on the common flooring, and I don't feel any slipping, and I like the comfortable, smooth feel. Unlike industrial products, each pair is handmade.
