This is a bamboo craft souvenir received in October 1949 (Showa 24) to commemorate a visit to Kotohira-gu Shrine (Konpira-san) in Kagawa Prefecture. The surface is carefully decorated with scenes of mountains, pine trees, lanterns, and more, and the inscription "Kotohira" is also present. Made shortly after the war, the texture of the bamboo and the craftsmanship, which have aged for about 75 years, have a depth that modern items lack.
