The embroidered-like weave might be karaori (a type of woven fabric). The soft colors of the gradient weave are lovely. The photos show it paired with a separately sold tsukesage (semi-formal kimono). This price is for the obi only. Fukuro obi (formal obi) and stylish fukuro obi can be long and difficult to tie. With a two-piece tsukuri-obi, you can shorten the time it takes to tie the obi. You also don't have to worry about the otaiko (the back part of the obi) coming undone.
