Vintage 2nd type ~ In the 1950s, after the end of World War II and the lifting of wartime material controls, the 1st type, which had been produced for nearly half a century, was updated, giving rise to the 2nd type, which offered improved functionality. It followed the front pleats and silhouette of the "war model" and was improved with a symmetrical design featuring patch and flap pockets on both chests.
