These are babouches purchased in the souk of Marrakech, Morocco. The fabric uses vintage materials, and they are beautiful just to display as decoration. These babouches are designed with attention to detail, such as the use of shiny orange leather in unseen areas (photo 9). I fell in love with them and bought them, but I've never worn them and they've been stored in a box for a long time. Please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for the pristine condition of a brand new item, as they are handmade by artisans and use vintage fabric. Also, due to the nature of vintage fabrics, there may be threads of different colors in the fabric, or a slight fraying in one place, which was present from the time of purchase (photo 8). I hope you can appreciate this as part of their charm! There are also artisan markings on the inside leather (photo 7). I purchased size 41 in European sizes, but due to the relaxed nature of Moroccan sizing, there may be some slight variations.
