[Ovation Pinnacle 3862] This is the No. 3862 of the Pinnacle series (early Fujigen/Terada Gakki), a Japanese-American collaboration assembled in Japan, made in the USA, during the few years before Ovation Celebrity & Applause series production was moved to Korea in the 1980s and 90s. (Currently, all Ovation production has been moved to Korea, and there are no Made in USA models.) This series was made very carefully due to the assembly being done in Japan, and the sound quality, combined with the thin, shallow body, allows for quick response and nuance when picking, and it resonates well in terms of volume when played acoustically. It has the same specifications as the Ovation Elite of the time. Also, while old USA-made Ovation guitars currently sold often show deformation and cracks in the wood due to aging, the Pinnacle, being seasoned and produced domestically, seems to have less significant changes in the wood. The preamp is equipped with Ovation USA/FET-3. It has 1 volume/bass/middle/treble/battery check function built-in. Currently, the internal lever for the middle control of the 3-band control is loose and tends to come off, so it is fixed in the center position with tape. *Specs Body top: Spruce solid top Color: Dark Brown & Black Sunburst Neck: Maple Neck: Almost straight.
